Dubai Free Zones, gov employees not required to provide conduct certificates



Dubai, UAE -- Dubai Free Zone will not need to provide the conduct certificates for processing their employment visa, as they fall outside of the purview of the UAE Labour Law. This move is expected to better the job opportunities for free zones here.

However, job visa applicants outside of the free zones in Dubai need to provide the document as per Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. According to the official from MOHRE, all residents who have lived in the UAE for over 5 years can procure the document from the police station, while the residents who have lived in the country for less than 5 years need to get it from their home country, and should get it attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office from their respective country.

Dubai government employees are also exempted from producing the conduct certificate.
